Greetings! Welcome to my website. I wanted to make this page so that you, the viewer, could get to know me and learn my story.
My name is Sapphire (online at least). I was born in the year 2000 into a military family. We moved around a lot up until I graduated High School in 2017. From there, I was finally able to settle down and find a place to call home. I’ve moved a few times since being out of the house and am currently still trying to find somewhere where I can live by myself. Currently, I live in a dorm with a few friends while I put away funds to get a place all to myself.
Growing up, I never really felt like I had the creative juices to be an artist. I mostly focused my attention on video games and my career ambitions which centered around aviation. Once I had graduated High School, those ambitions were squashed when I found out just how much money it would cost to pursue that kind of career… So, I adapted. Since my family served in the military, I decided that being a part of a service was where I could take myself but the military wasn’t quite for me. I instead went to my counties website and became a volunteer at the fire department down the road. In 2020, I would gain my certifications to be a firefighter, and in 2023, I would pass the National Registry test to become an EMT. Since then, I’ve picked up work for a county funded, private ambulance authority.
I got into making art in September of 2025. My gaming PC had suddenly stopped working and work would get really boring on some days so, being an avid art enjoyer, I made the decision to begin the adventure of being a digital artist. I purchased my first tablet, a Wacom Intuos, downloaded Paint Tool SAI, and began doodling on a blank canvas. I didn’t get serious about drawing until, in early October of 2025, my best, furry friend crossed the rainbow bridge. Art became my outlet, helped me cope with his loss, allowed me to keep his memory alive though lines and shading, and kept me in the game while still working.
And that’s my story so far. Still in my infant stage as an artist and still working on the ol’ gut bucket, the term for an ambulance where I work.
